The valuation of the works carried out during 2018 exceeds 25 million euros

Benidorm will invest 580,000 euros to complete the renovation of the asphalting in the city

21 December 2018
Benidorm invertirá 580.000 euros para finalizar la renovación del asfaltado de la ciudad

Benidorm will invest 580,000 euros in the Asphalt Plan of 2018 with which it will renovate the pavement of its roads. A plan that will be carried out in coordination with the rest of the works already in execution. This has announced today by the councilman of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, who has also anticipated that work will begin next Wednesday 26.

The City Council had planned an investment of 500,000 euros, but the improvements introduced by the concessionaire company "over 16%", will allow acting "in more than 35 streets and in all neighborhoods of Benidorm."

For neighborhoods, the Plan plans to intervene in La Cala, Pajares, Avilés and Asturias streets, which complement previous works in Avenida Villajollosa, or in Vicente Llorca Alós with the Accessibility Plan. In Colonia Madrid, in Florida, Orxeta and Avenida de Beniardà until El Cruce. In Els Tolls, the works will begin the same Wednesday 26, in the streets Municipi, Finlandia, Islandia, Bélgica, Portugal and Francia, "what was not asphalted in previous years". In the center, the intervention will affect L' Aigüera, upper part of Almendros street and the roads adjacent to Ramos Carratalà "where the addresses were changed last year". In the Rincón de Loix, apart from the Ametlla de Mar and Juan Fuster Zaragoza streets, which are already being acted upon, the streets London and Moscow will be paved "whole".

González de Zárate has also announced that action will be taken on fragments of the Adolfo Suárez Avenue, the Fire Station and in the vicinity of the Hermitage of Sanz. The mayor has stressed that "all work" will be carried out in conjunction "with other municipal achievements" and has given as an example Jupiter Street, which will receive the improvement jointly with Tomás Ortuño; or Jaime I, who will do it once the installation of the new channels of Atocha Street is completed.

"With this action - González de Zárate has indicated - and those of the previous Asphalt Plan of 2017, which we finished in the first quarter of 2018, we calculated that absolutely the whole city will have solved the problems of the pavement that dragged from previous exercises".

This is "the most potent Asphalt Plan in the city of Benidorm of the last 10 years", the councilor stressed and the best thing is that "thanks to the provisions of the Department, it will be direct asphalt, there will be no need to mill, remove the asphalt and then replace it. " The councilman of works has been confident that the actions end before Easter except for some unforeseen delays due to inclement weather. "There can always be a cave-in," he clarified, "but for that we have the Municipal Works Brigade, with which we can ensure that the roads of Benidorm will be in perfect condition."

25 million euros in 2018 h4>

José Ramón González de Zárate has made a balance of the improvements made in the urban environment of Benidorm during 2018. He has detailed the actions in execution of the Accessibility Plan, Ametlla de Mar, Séquia Mare, Parque dels Ametllers, parking on Calle Italia, Tomás Ortuño, Jaime I, Tamarindos Park, Avenida del Mediterráneo, Plaza de la Hispanidad or Avenida de Europa "and I'm sure I'm leaving some". "If we do the calculation," he clarified, "works have been carried out for an amount exceeding 25 million euros, not only for municipal investment, but also for other administrations" and that "is seen on the street", has ended.
