Benidorm will host the travelling exhibition '3,000 years of Alicante wine culture'

Benidorm acogerá la exposición itinerante ‘3.000 años de cultura del vino Alicante’

The travelling exhibition '3,000 years of Alicante wine culture' will soon arrive in Benidorm, where it arrives with the help of Alicante DOP Regulatory Council and the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage directed by Ana Pellicer. This open-air exhibition will be exhibited starting September 15 at Plaza de la Hispanidad and is composed of illustrations signed by the Alicante artists Erre Gálvez, Paula Alenda, and Miguel Calatayud.

Pellicer explained that "through these illustrations, the viewer is offered a historical journey to learn about the link between our land and wine, stopping at the most important milestones of this relationship that dates back three millennia." "But also," she added, "this exhibition will also bring the public closer to some of the most present grape varieties in the province, such as Monastrell or Muscat."

The councillor encouraged the population "to visit this exhibition starting next September 15, which is 100% native, both in terms of theme and art, and which allows not only to highlight the culture of wine, so deeply rooted in the province and that increasingly has more visibility and projection in the market, but also the talent of our authors.”

The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
