Benidorm will host 6,000 darts throwers for the 2025 National Championship
The Palau d’Esports L’Illa in Benidorm will host the 2025 National Darts Championship from November 27th to 29th. Organised by GR Doblebull in collaboration with the Department of Sports, the event will feature approximately 6,000 dart players from various autonomous communities.
The championship will begin on Thursday, the 27t,h at 6:00 PM with the individual Cricket Championship. Friday the 28th will see the Open Triples Championship and the Cricket Pairs Championship. The National Team Championship will take place on Saturday, the 29th, and the championship will conclude around 10:30 PM with the awards ceremony.
The best teams in Spain will face off in an intense competition with cash prizes up for grabs and, above all, “the opportunity to represent Spain in the next European Championship, making the Benidorm tournament an essential event for all national players,” stated the Councillor for Sports, Javier Jordá.
The organisers anticipate that the event will draw more than 20,000 people over the weekend to enjoy the competition. This is an event “with a significant economic impact on the city, due to the high number of participants and overnight stays, and because it takes place during the off-season in November,” the councillor emphasised.
In this regard, the organisers have acknowledged that it is the participants themselves who want the championship to be held in Benidorm, because, as Jordá explained, “here they find an excellent climate, high-quality hotels and leisure and entertainment options that are very difficult to find anywhere else at this time of year, thus showing great loyalty to the city.”
