Benidorm Pride Parade attracts thousands of people in the streets of the city

The City Council, Visit Benidorm Foundation and the organization have maximized an event of international scope

Benidorm has been the international capital today with the celebration the parade 'Benidorm Pride' along the main streets of the city. Thousands of people enjoyed a parade with more than twenty floats, music and colorful to demand true equality without any sexual distinction for LGBT community. From September 5th to 11th Benidorm hosts the sixth edition of the Pride, which also closes the European calendar of Pride festivities. The tourism potential of this event has become more evident among the public across Europe LGBT, which consolidates Benidorm as a 'gay-friendly' destination and placing it in a growing market segment. The commitment of Benidorm City Hall andVisit Benidorm Foundation for the Pride has been decided throughout the year, boosting the national and international promotion of the event with participation in trade fairs as Fitur in Madrid or ITB Berlin; as well as the presence in Pride parties like Madrid, Stockholm and Hamburg, and the organization of "blog and press trips" specialized in LGBT. This development has resulted in a successful Benidorm Pride 2016. 'Benidorm Parade' left at five in the afternoon from Rincón de Loix, reaching L'Aigüera park, where from 20.00 there were performances by local artists. On Sunday it will take place the 'Closing Party' at the end of Paseo de Colón.
