Benidorm celebrates another year the festivity of Virgen del Pilar, patroness of the Civil Guard

A tribute to the members of the Civil Guard for their continued struggle in defense of the rights and freedoms of Spanish people

Benidorm Civil Guard has held this morning the festivity of its patroness saint, Virgen del Pilar, with a mass in the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Almudena in Colonia Madrid district. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez and the councilman for Security, Lorenzo Martínez, attended the religious ceremony along with representatives of the different municipal and members of the Security Forces of the State and political groups. The head of the Civil Guard in Benidorm, the Lieutenant Juan Isidro Palomares, was accompanied by the Chief of the local police, Juan Fuertes and the inspector of the National Police in the city, Juan Carlos Hernández. There were also present the provincial deputy, Manuel Pérez Fenoll and a large representation of local festeras entities, with the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals Beatriz Amor and Paula González de Zárate with their court of honor.
