Benidorm celebrated the Day of Asturias with the proclamation of Carmen Moriyón, mayor of Gijón

This Saturday, September 9, the House of Asturias Marina Baixa has commemorated the Day of Asturias, which coincides with the celebration of the festivity of the Virgin of Covadonga (8 September). The association which brings together the numerous colony of Asturias in the city, had planned a folkloric festival in Óscar Esplá Amphitheater in L' Aigüera Park where the Gijonesa Artistic Group, the Xolgoriu Folklore Group, was going to act and the mayor of Gijón, Carmen Moriyón, was the crier. Finally, and because of the rain, the celebration was moved to the Hall of Acts of the City Hall.
