Benidorm inicia el último trámite para desarrollar el Plan Parcial 2/1 Poniente, que incluye zonas verdes, nuevos viales y un parking-mirador

Benidorm City Council has given the green light to the last procedure to develop the Partial Plan 2/1 Poniente, which encompasses 131,000 square meters in which new green areas, new roads, new public facilities and a parking lot of 30 will be created. meters high and capacity for more than 450 vehicles. The Councilor for Urbanism, Lourdes Caselles, has reported that "the Local Government Board has approved this week to submit to public information the urbanization project presented by the developer of the sector, the commercial TM Real Estate Group."

Caselles has indicated that the development of this land "comes to culminate the urbanization and the roads planned for Poniente area in the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) of 1990", and "to complete the connection of the first line with Alcalde Vicente Pérez Devesa Avenue, thus giving continuity to the residential area of Vía Parque ”. She also stressed that "in the last three years we have promoted the development of this entire area, pending for decades and that was essential to finish the entire urban fabric of this area of Benidorm."

As the head of Urbanism recalled, 61.50% of the 131,000 square meters that make up the Partial Plan 2/1 Poniente will have parking lots, roads, green areas and public facilities. The sector also has 19,024 square meters for green areas; and 24,928 for public facilities. The rest of the land is intended for residential use.

Caselles has stressed that the development of this sector "will definitely solve the parking needs in Poniente area by generating new roads with significant parking capacity", to which will be added the spaces provided for in "the large parking lot -looking point in height that will be located on the front line ”.

According to the agreement between the developer and the City Council, the former will contribute with about three million euros to the municipal land patrimony that will be translated into works of social interest. Thus, the construction of this high-rise car park with a lookout point and a landscape elevator will be joined by the planned actions to prevent the accumulation of water on a plot of about 25,000 squares for public equipment; the construction of Moralet Avenue in the section that runs through the sector; and the execution of a roundabout on Villajoyosa Avenue at the height of the old Red Cross post. To these priority works is added the connection of this sector with "the two adjoining areas already urbanized or in the process of urbanization: Poniente execution unit and El Murtal II Partial Plan".

Lastly, Caselles has indicated that the process for the future development of Ensanche de Levante is also progressing, which “is currently in the public participation phase so that citizens can find out what they want to do in this important bag of land; a draft document that has a favorable environmental report from the Ministry and that Urban Interest Group has worked based on the guidelines set by the regional administration, the municipal technicians and the General Plan itself ”.
