234 minors have obtained a place in the municipal nursery schools and in SAPI Nanets
The Department of Education has published the provisional lists of those admitted to municipal nursery schools and the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets for the academic year 2020/2021. According to the data transferred by the councillor of the area, Maite Moreno, "250 applications have been received for a place for children from 0 to 2 years old in the municipal network, of which 234 have obtained it." However, "there are four places available, one for babies and three for 2-year-olds."
The head of Education has indicated that all places in municipal nursery schools have been assigned to families residing in the city, giving priority to those that have been registered for more than a year. She also recalled that only family units with all their members registered in Benidorm will be included in the official waiting list to obtain a place in case they become vacant throughout the course.
Moreno explained that with this period of enrollment application "the City Council admits these 234 minors in the municipal public network of Early Childhood Education 1st cycle", although she clarified "the physical presence of minors admitted to classrooms will remain throughout moment subject to the safety and hygiene measures established by the health authorities in relation to the Covid-19 ”. In this regard, the councilor has reported that "all the nursery schools in the municipal network are preparing, with the advice of the City's Occupational Risk Prevention technician, a Contingency Plan to adapt the facilities and their operation to the instructions of Ministry to resume the activity as soon as possible ".
The provisional lists can be consulted from today on the Electronic Notice Board of the City Council, and the nursery schools themselves and in the SAPI offices. Families who wish to claim may do so until Friday the 19th. On June 30 the definitive lists will be published and a period of three days will be opened to plead.
In addition to the municipal offer, Benidorm has 72 'extra' P2 places, for boys and girls born in 2018, in classrooms “that the Ministry of Education, with the collaboration of the City Council, enables in schools Aitana, Mestre Gaspar López , Vasco Núñez de Balboa and Puig Campana ”. The deadline for applying for a place in these 2-year-old classrooms ended yesterday.
In this way, Benidorm schools for the three levels of Early Childhood Education amounts to 438 school positions between the exclusively municipal offer and that arranged by the Department of Education.
