The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved the latest Paréntesis Aid remittance, with which it has served nearly 2,000 companies and freelancers in Benidorm from a good number of sectors affected by the pandemic, according to data released today by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez.
Gómez has detailed that "this remittance corresponds to the third call for these grants, with which 123 professionals and SMEs with up to 10 workers have been attended;" and "it is added to all the benefits resolved in previous calls until reaching a total amount granted of 4,477,965.51 euros".
The councillor recalled that “the City Council, and within the guidelines set by the Generalitat Valenciana, up to three different calls for Parentheses Grants have been launched to try to reach as many companies and freelancers as possible in Benidorm, expanding in successive calls the range of beneficiary sectors and extending the application deadlines as much as possible to facilitate the process ”.
Gómez has indicated that “finally 1,969 professionals and SMEs have benefited from these benefits, which contemplated an aid of 2,000 euros per company or self-employed to which 200 euros were added for each worker registered on December 31 2020 ”.
The head of Employment and Local Promotion has highlighted, in turn, that "the percentage of applications approved has been just over 94%."
Likewise, Gómez has highlighted “the incessant work carried out by the Technical Commission that has been in charge of the compilation, evaluation and evaluation of all the applications received in the different calls and that has worked in an agile way so that the resolution and payment of these benefits it will reach the beneficiary companies and professionals as soon as possible ”.
The ‘Parentheses Grants’ have been co-financed by the City Council, the Generalitat Valenciana and Alicante Provincial Council. 'Parentheses grants' have been added to the different aids designed and called by the City Council to serve the local productive sector, and with which it has also tried to reach those sectors or types of companies that have been left out of aid launched by administrations superiors, such as the accommodation sector or companies with more than 10 workers.
