Benidorm aprueba el convenio con el Centro Doble Amor por valor de 170.000 euros

The Local Government Board (JGL) of Benidorm City Council has approved the agreement with the Doble Amor Association. The Occupational Center will receive a grant of 170,000 euros. According to the JGL agreement, Doble Amor will receive the entire subsidy upon signing the agreement.

The City Council, for yet another year, has considered "the outstanding associative work carried out by the Double Love Association and the direct collaboration it provides to this City Council in carrying out activities and programs aimed at the group of people with functional diversity and their families, makes it worthy of a municipal monetary provision that makes it possible to achieve its laudable and selfless social purposes.”

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, and the president of Double Amor, José Luis Calvo, were present at the signing of the document.

According to the agreement signed between both parties, Doble Amor will continue to develop occupational workshops for people with functional diversity, will be in charge of maintaining the headquarters and facilities of the association and will manage the transportation of Benidorm users to the occupational centre dependent-on the entity during the current year.

Doble Amor Centre carries out “commendable work that for more than forty years has ensured the improvement of the quality of life of its users and, by extension, of all citizens,” indicated the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí. The councillor has reiterated “the commitment of Benidorm City Council to the association and to the work it does to promote the integration of people with functional diversity, to promote their job opportunities and achieve their maximum personal development, involving the families of this student body".

Likewise, she has considered that "the collaboration and involvement of all public administrations are essential to ensure the activity of the Occupational and Employment centres managed by the Association."
