The Association of Penyes will celebrate this Saturday at the Castle its most ecological open air dance

28 June 2017
La Associació de Penyes celebrará este sábado en el Castillo su verbena más ecológica

The members of the Peñas present a recyclable glass and will install containers of glass, paper and plastic

The open air dance of the Association of Penyes Verge of the Sofratge of Benidorm returns to the Castle one more year, this next Saturday, July 1, at 20.00 hours and more ecological than ever. This has been announced this afternoon by the Councilor of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles and its president, Mariano Nájera, during the presentation of the event.

Jesús Carrobles has highlighted the first verbena of the summer that will have "a differentiating element" compared to previous editions. In addition to "being able to enjoy good music and spend some time with friends", as a novelty there will be "a recyclable and sustainable party". This will be possible because the peñistas will facilitate the collection of waste with the installation of containers of glass, paper and plastic. They have also made an edition of recyclable cups, with the logos of the Associació and the Department of Fiestas printed, to avoid the indiscriminate use of plastic containers.

The initiative will allow, said Carrobles, "that everyone in Benidorm win in terms of cleanliness and sustainability" and that the world of the party is even more "aware of what has to be to collaborate with the environment." For its part, Mariano Nájera has justified the idea because it is not wanted to damage in any way "a place as emblematic as the Castle." That is why the rocks will facilitate these vessels that are recyclable and reusable. "A glass," he emphasized, "with a deposit of one euro" that anyone who wishes can "keep it or return it so that the deposit is returned".

The councilor and the representative of the clubs were convinced that this initiative will be an example that will be implemented in the city in order to facilitate the collaboration of the festive world with the environment.
