The triathlete of the elite Bike Albir Team Angela Llorca Delaite and the taekwondo player Jonathan Moreno Bueno, were the winners during the sixth sport gala in Benidorm as the best individual athletes of the 2017 season, in which Alejandro Ivars Amor (Powerlifting), Raúl Mesa Lite (Beach Volleyball), Rodrigo Sebastiá Alonso 'Pere Roc II' (Pilota) and Javier Miguel López Alós (Billiards), were also nominated.

The event was celebrated one more year at Palau d'Esports, had a massive influx of public, athletes, clubs, family and friends of the winners, also recognizing the trajectory of many local athletes in the different base categories and sports disciplines .

The act was inaugurated by the councilor of Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, with the presence of the mayor of the city Toni Pérez, the General Director of Sports of the Comunitat Valenciana Josep Miquel Moya Torres, the provincial deputy of Sports, Juan José Castelló Molina and a Large representation of members of the municipal corporation.

The acknowledgments to the athletes of the base sport were the following. In Benjamin category Eduardo Martín Fernández (Club Kick Boxing Benidorm), Daniel López Fenollar (Club Kick Boxing Benidorm). In category Juvenile Lucía González Relinque (Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Benidorm) and Ane Armas Segovia (Cable Ski Benidorm). In the Child category, the awards went to David Yarosh (Club Kick Boxing Benidorm), Pau Sadurni Sanchís (Club TAE Benidorm), Miguel Bou Bernabeu (Club Anibe Benidorm), Martín Cervera Aznar (Cable Ski Benidorm), Miguel Codina Diego (Benidorm Handball Club ) and Kira Dalua Mostafa (Club Rhythmic Gymnastics Benidorm). In the Cadet category, the winners were José Julian García García 'Josito' (Fau 55 Racing), Sergio López Buenache (Club TAE Benidorm), Álvaro Huete Moreno (Club TAE Benidorm) and Sofia García-Cuenca Mendo (Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Benidorm). In the Juvenile category, the recognition went to José Luis Calvo Segura (Municipal School of Pilota), Francisco Juan Navarrete (Municipal School of Pilota), Jaime Baldó Gómez (Cable Ski Benidorm) and Javier Abinzano Urriza (Benidorm Handball Club). The winners in the Junior category were Fernando Muñiz García (Club TAE Benidorm), Lucía Serralta Ferrer (Club Naútico Villajoyosa) and Sara Macías Pérez (Club TAE Benidorm). Finally, in the Master category, the winners were Diego Cortés Llorca (Club Naútico Benidorm), Manuel Tirado Jiménez (Benacantil Athletics Club), Domingo Seguí Orts (Parque Regional Fire) and Rosa Llorca Pérez (Club Naútico La Vila).

The gala also had an emotional moment with the delivery of special mentions for different reasons. Pedro Alós for a life dedicated to sports, Vicente Ivorra for his promotion of Base Football, Benidorm Athletics Club for his 30th anniversary, Bullshooter Dart Federation for the promotion of sports tourism, Centro Doble Amor and its sports coach Sonia García Endrino for her work with the adapted sport, Foietes Soccer Club for the social work and sports promotion, and finally to Servigroup as the most outstanding private entity for its support and promotion to the sport of the city.

The clubs that were awarded for their sporting achievements were Rhythmic Gymnastics Club of Benidorm, Benidorm Basketball Club, Pilota Municipal School, Benidorm Pilota Club, Benidorm Beaches Volleyball Club, Atlético Ciudad Benidorm CF, SFFCV Benidorm Fútbol Base, Benidorm Poniente Beach Volleyball Club , Club Naútico Benidorm, Benidorm Handball Club, Cable Ski Benidorm and Club TAE Benidorm.

Finally, local technicians Daniel García Soczywko (Volleyball), Lilia Nikolova and Ana Belén Garrido (Rhythmic Gymnastics), David García Soler (Soccer), Fulgencio Hernández Piñera (Soccer), Ignacio Madaleno Montalvo (Volleyball), Pedro Rostoll Rodríguez were also recognized. (Soccer), Raúl Gallego Palomar (Soccer), Eduardo Martín Botenkoe (Kick Boxing), Jose Luis Diego (Taekwondo) and Francisco Ferrando (Taekwondo).

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, put the finishing touches to the VI Sports Gala congratulating the winners for their recognition and effort during the season, and especially praised the work to the winners Vicente Ivorra and Pedró Alós for their dedication and teaching in sports throughout their life. He closed the act with a phrase of his own "if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go accompanied, and this city thanks to all of you will continue to come very far in terms of sports".
