This Saturday the contest honors the director Roberto Pérez Toledo
The 6th edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival starts tomorrow with seven days of screenings and activities
The sixth edition of Skyline Benidorm Film Festival starts tomorrow, Saturday, April 2, with seven days of short film screenings and activities ahead. A sixth edition that has four sections, with the premiere of one dedicated to Ibero-American production and which is added to the official National, European and Social short film sections.
The Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has pointed out that "edition after edition, the organization, led by Beatriz Hernández, incorporates novelties to the festival, which was already born with a very particular stamp: payment for selection of the 25 short films that make up the national section, thus recognizing the work of the creators”.
Pérez has highlighted that “Skyline Benidorm Film Festival has become a benchmark within the national circuit as evidenced by the record participation figures that the event has achieved for another year: more than 450 short films presented and 260 projects, between scripts and ' shortpitch'”. Added to all of this is the involvement of Filmin in the project and the support of the Madrid Film Academy, where the festival was presented this week.
The mayor has invited “residents and people who visit us these days to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the best short-format cinema and attend the screenings, most of which will be held in the heart of Benidorm: in the Auditorium Alameda Street Mediterranean Foundation”.
This same venue hosts this Saturday at noon the first date of the festival: the inauguration of the Skyline with a tribute to the director Roberto Pérez Toledo. Within the tribute, some of the most emblematic works signed by the director will be screened, which will be attended by family and friends.
Starting on Sunday, there will be screenings of the different sections and stop motion and scriptwriting workshops for children and young people.
