Tomorrow the enrollment application for pre-primary and primary will be opened in the 13 public schools and the catholic center, to which more than 500 students born in 2018 are incorporated
241 minors obtain a place in the three municipal nursery schools and the SAPI
241 minors from 0 to 2 years old have obtained a place in the three municipal nursery schools of Benidorm –Les Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet- and in the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) for the 2021/2022 academic year. The Department of Education, led by Maite Moreno, today has published the provisional lists on the Notice Board of the web (https://sede.benidorm.org).
Moreno explained that "for this school year there has been an increase in the number of applications compared to the previous one and hence the initial offer of places has been expanded, which was from 222, to 241, enabling one more unit of nursery schools to do so. 1 year". Specifically, "310 applications have been registered, so there are currently 69 minors on the waiting list." However, once the deadline for allegations is over, "only minors registered in Benidorm will be added to the official waiting list, which are those who have priority when accessing the places in the Municipal Nursery Schools."
To these 310 applications, "there are 13 more than‘ unborn ’- boys and girls who have not yet been born - who will be placed on the list of future vacancies, respecting the order of ranking." In the event of vacancies, the councillor has specified "families will be called in order of coverage list, although the award of the place will be conditional on the birth of the minor and compliance with the minimum age required to join the nursery school , which is 4 months ”.
The councillor of Education has reported that "the period for claims to the provisional lists is open from today until Thursday, the 27th." Subsequently, on June 3, the final lists will be published, which may be claimed until June 8. Once this process is completed, each center will set the enrollment date.
Moreno has indicated that “as in previous courses, it is possible that there is movement in the P2 waiting list, since tomorrow the application period for a place opens for the 2-year-old classrooms enabled by the Ministry in Aitana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Mestre Gaspar López and Puig Campana schools ”.
Schooling in Pre-Primary and Primary in public and catholic schools
The deadline to apply for one of the 72 P2 places in these four schools coincides with that established by the Ministry for the second cycle of Pre-Primary and Primary Education, a period that opens tomorrow, May 25, at 09:00 a.m. and until 12:00 p.m. 11:59 p.m. on June 2.
Moreno has reported that “like last year, this process for the application for enrollment in Pre-Primary and Primary schools will be carried out electronically, except in exceptional cases, on the web https://portal.edu.gva.es / telematricula / ”enabled by the Department.
According to the data transferred by the councilor, "in Benidorm there are 545 boys and girls born in 2018, which constitute the potential population that will be incorporated into the 3-year-old school system." Of them, “the 61 minors who during this 2020/2021 academic year have occupied a place in the 2-year classrooms of the Ministry have reserved their school position; and places are also reserved for students with special educational needs ”.
Thus, "there are approximately 495 vacant school positions in the centers maintained with public funds, which are the 13 public schools and the catholic center."
Moreno explained that "for this next academic year Benidorm has a class unit less for children of the first year of Primary Education, since the Regional Goverment has eliminated a classroom for this course at Mestre Gaspar López school, which goes from two classes to one". The center "has alleged a school arrangement for the suppression of this classroom." Furthermore, "this center and CEIP Vasco Núñez de Balboa have presented allegations because this school has not been granted with one more 3-year-old classroom." At the moment, "the Regional Goverment has not addressed these allegations."
Once the application period for a place is completed, on June 16 the provisional lists will be published, the result of which will be communicated individually in the email of each applicant. Families will then have two days to claim telematically through the Conselleria website; the final lists being published on June 30. An extraordinary period for claims will then be opened for one month; and enrollment will be formalized from July 1 to July 16 at the center where the minor has obtained a place. If after this period has expired the registration has not been formalized, the place will be lost.
Processing
To electronically process the application for a place, the family must access https://portal.edu.gva.es/telematricula/. The only requirement is to have a DNI / NIE. The first step will be to generate the admission key, which will only be one even if a place is requested for two or more siblings.
The applicant will receive by email the identifier and password for the application or applications that have to be made depending on the number of minors to enroll. It is essential to keep the access code to be able to consult the lists and file claims.
Moreno has clarified that people who lack a DNI / NIE or do not have access to internet will be able to carry out the admission procedure in person on the same dates at the educational center where they request a place as the first option, and this year also at the premises of the APAS Local Association, located at Calle Estación, 1, requesting an appointment by calling the Department of Education: 96 681 54 71.
