The III Swimming Crossing Heartbreak Benidorm will be held one more year at Levante beach
The third edition of Heartbreak Benidorm Swimming Crossing organized by Finisher Sports Club with the collaboration of the Benidorm City Council, has been presented today in the capital of the Costa Blanca. The swimmers will visit next Sunday, July 21, from 9.00, 2.900 meters of open water in a sporting and festive event that every year gains more followers.
The Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, accompanied by the coordinator of the trip, Fabián Villena, and the head of security of the race, Gabriel Ruíz, have presented the journey this morning for which 350 athletes have already registered, exceeding in a hundred the number of participants of the second edition. "The departure and arrival," said Cebreros, "will be carried out next to the Torrejó municipal building." For his part, Fabián Villena recalled that the initiative arose from "a habitual meeting of swimming friends who stayed on the beach, in front of the Torrejó" and that it is intended to "have fun" and, regardless of the competition, "to do something different that evidences the collaboration between the world of sports and leisure "in a city like Benidorm.
Villena thanked the support of the City Council, and also the companies that have opted for the crossing, such as, among others, the Heartbreak, the local Levante that gives its name to the event, or the Yacht Club that makes available to Finisher, Gabriel Ruiz pointed out, "two boats with rescue and support personnel that will accompany the swimmers" during the tour, "along with the zodiak of the Beach Unit of the Local Police" who will also follow the course of the race from one of your drones The organization will also have 30 kayaks.
