The parade of Their Majesties, smaller than in other years, runs through the city and ends at Julio Iglesias auditorium

Thousands of children waited patiently for the visit of the Magi to Benidorm

The royal parade travelled along Avenida de los Almendros, Marte, Venus, Ruzafa and Herrerías streets and reached Plaza de la Navidad, next to the Town Hall, and then Parque de l’Aigüera to Julio Iglesias auditorium. Thousands of boys and girls and their parents awaited them there. To access the site, the presentation of the COVID passport was required at all times.

Melchor, Gaspar and Baltarsar were received by the mayor, Toni Pérez, who spoke to them to thank them for “returning to Benidorm at a time when we need it so much” and at this time “more than ever”, in clear reference to the health situation in the country.

The mayor also thanked all the people who "have made possible" the return, one more year, of the Three Wise Men to the city and their Majesties asked them not to forget "no home", especially those of "the children and girls from Benidorm and those of our elders ”.

After the words of the mayor, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar greeted all those present and then began the distribution of presents. Work that they have done efficiently, as the children of Benidorm who have woken up with their gifts under the Christmas tree or in the Nativity scene have verified this morning. Many have even received them in the homes of their relatives whom they have visited during the morning.

Broadcasting by Onda Benidorm

Benidorm Kings Parade was broadcast live through YouTube channel of the municipal radio station Onda Benidorm, and can be viewed at https://youtu.be/KAaS5kONi8U.

The parade featured a first part starring popular children's characters from film and television such as The Lion King, Peter Pan or Maleficent. In a second, the story of the Magi was recalled and how they reached the Bethlehem portal. The Roman troops, played by the Armed Forces of Orihuela, gave way to the King of Judea, Herod, and his great entourage. Next, the living nativity scene with Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the shepherds accompanied by their animals.
The musical note of the Parade has been given by the three bands from Benidorm: Unió Musical, L’Illa and La Nova, accompanied by the Xirimiters de la Marina. The firefighters of the Marina Baixa Regional Park, volunteers from the Civil Protection and Red Cross, and the local and national police forces who have ensured that everything ran normally, have also participated.

Their Majesties also visit the neighborhoods

Although this year the Kings did not parade, as on previous occasions through La Cala or La Huerta, the gifts did arrive in these neighborhoods of Benidorm. Also to Foietes Residence for the elderly, where the organization of the parade, on behalf of The Three Wise Men, sent a large-format television to the management for the enjoyment of its residents.
