This Saturday, June 7, Guillermo Amor Stadium will host the first friendly match in preparation for the European Championship for the Spanish U-19 national team, the reigning champions of the competition in its latest edition, which will be held in Romania from the 13th to the 26th of this month.
The 24 players called up by national team coach Paco Gallardo have already trained for the first time in Alicante, where they will remain until Monday, June 9. During this time, in addition to training sessions, the team will face the United States on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in a friendly match that will be broadcast live on the Federation's website, www.rfef.es.
After the preparations, the national team coach will release the final list of the 20 players who will travel to Bucharest on the 10th to try to repeat their success and win their tenth European Championship in this category. Spain will debut on the 13th against Denmark at 5:00 PM. On the 16th, they will play against Romania at 8:00 PM and close out the group stage with Montenegro. The top two teams advance to the semifinals.
