The change is due to the reorganization of traffic caused by the construction of the Jaime I parking garage and will continue until the end of the works
The lower section of Maravall Street will change its direction of traffic starting this Wednesday, March 25th
Due to the construction of the underground parking garage on Avenida Jaime I, starting this Wednesday, March 25, the lower section of Calle Maravall, between San Pedro and Marqués de Comillas, will have its traffic direction reversed, changing from uphill to downhill.
Thus, upon reaching the intersection with Maravall, vehicles travelling on Marqués de Comillas street will be able to turn right towards Tomás Ortuño street or turn left to descend to the beachfront. Similarly, vehicles travelling on Paseo de San Pedro will no longer be able to turn onto Maravall as before, but must continue straight until reaching Jaime I Avenue or Armada Española Avenue.
According to the Department of Mobility, this change will be in effect until the completion of the project and is part of the traffic reorganisation in the area surrounding Jaime I Avenue, which is closed to traffic from Ricardo Bayona-Limones intersection to Avenida Nicaragua due to the construction of the underground parking garage. Remember that this parking lot will have two floors and a capacity for 406 vehicles.
