The event is a new success in its fourteenth edition and has already announced the dates for 2025, when the 15th anniversary will be celebrated

Low Festival brings together almost 70,000 people in three days of music without incidents

Low Festival 2024

The Low Festival Benidorm, which took place this weekend at Guillermo Amor Sports City, ended successfully a new edition in the early hours of Monday, with three days full of music and without any notable incidents. The Councillor for Events, Jesús Carrobles stressed that “once again the musical met the public expectations”, with nearly 23,000 attendees a day to enjoy 70 national and international bands.

Carrobles recalled that, with thirteen editions held in Benidorm, “the Low Festival is a fully consolidated event in our city, which every year incorporates new features to improve attendees experience and reduce its footprint in the destination”. “We have been able to see this year, for example, with the installation of solar panels or the elimination of chemical toilets, which have meant a leap in quality both for users and from an environmental point of view”, he added.

The councillor also announced that the organisation “has already announced the dates for the Low Festival in 2025, which will be on 25, 26 and 27 July and on which the promoter is already working to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this festival in style”.

Jesús Carrobles, who is also in charge of the Citizen Security area, explained that “as could be certified during the inspections carried out at the festival by the municipal inspectors, the security and health device included in the Self-Protection Plan was strictly complied with, both about the staff and personnel provided by the organisation and about emergency measures”. In this regard, the councillor recalled that “more than 200 people have made up this device, between the health and security means provided by the company and the staff assigned by the Local Police, National Police Force and Civil Protection”.

The Events and Public Safety Officer has reported that “the festival has developed completely normally, without any notable incidents having occurred during it.” Thus, over the three days, 153 medical attentions were provided in the venue among the almost 70,000 people who attended, mostly minor injuries due to sprains or sunstroke. In addition, there were three ambulance transfers to the hospital, several transfers that decreased by 50% compared to the previous edition.

Finally, Carrobles specified that the traffic arrangements, with the closure to vehicle traffic on the roads adjacent to Guillermo Amor and the special reinforcement of the transport service, “ worked well during the development of the festival, especially taking into account the volume of vehicles that Benidorm already has at the moment”, because of the high season.

On the other hand, the departments of Street Cleaning, Sports and Health are also working in collaboration with the promoter to make the Foietes facilities available for sports practice as soon as possible. In this sense, the first analyses carried out in the municipal pool have confirmed that the water quality is good, so in a few days, as soon as the dismantling of infrastructures allows it, it can be reopened for swimming.

After Reggaeton Beach, the Low Festival has been the second of the three major festivals in municipal facilities during the summer and the first stages of autumn, and other concerts are also scheduled for this August. The next festival will be the Iberia Festival on October 11 and 12 at Julio Iglesias Auditorium.
