Those interested have until January 12th to register as job seekers in the specialties covered by the program

Last days to register with LABORA to participate in the new Benidorm Employment Workshop

05 January 2026
Últimos días de inscripción en LABORA para poder participar en el nuevo Taller de Empleo de Benidorm

Benidorm City Council's Department of Employment and Local Promotion announces that the deadline for registering with LABORA for those interested in participating in the selection process for student-workers in a new edition of the Employment Workshop, entitled ‘Citizen Services and Cemetery Maintenance’, is January 12th. Councillor Mónica Gómez reminded applicants that to participate in this selection process, “it is necessary to register as job seekers in the training specialisations selected” for this year. Specifically, with the codes ‘ADGG0508 – Data and Document Recording and Processing Operations (Level 1)’ and ‘SSCI0212 – Funeral and Cemetery Maintenance Activities (Level 1)’, depending on the specialisation they wish.

To register and participate in the selection process, interested individuals should go to the LABORA office – Espai LABORA Benidorm, where they can receive information and complete their registration for the training speciality of their interest.

As announced weeks ago, Benidorm City Council will launch a new Employment Workshop, which this time will train and employ 20 unemployed people for one year in jobs related to customer service and cemetery maintenance. To carry it out, the City Council has obtained a grant of €565,384.80 awarded by LABORA – the Valencian Employment and Training Service – to cover the salary costs of management and teaching staff, the salaries of the trainees, and the training and maintenance expenses of the program. The City Council is supplementing this funding with a municipal contribution for materials needed for the work.

Mónica Gómez indicated that, as in previous editions, “this workshop will focus on training to improve the employability of the participants, who will obtain the corresponding professional certificate upon completion of the program, having passed the theoretical and practical modules.”

The 20 students will be divided into two groups of ten, combining vocational training with practical work through an apprenticeship contract. The training specialisations offered are ADGG0508 – Data and Document Recording and Processing Operations (Level 1) and SSCI0212 – Funeral and Cemetery Maintenance Activities (Level 1).

The trainees will carry out their practical work in various public offices and municipal cemeteries, contributing to improved citizen services and the maintenance of these spaces, while acquiring a professional qualification that facilitates their entry into the workforce, as the Councillor for Employment and Local Promotion pointed out.
