Around 900 primary school students have come to the theatre today for a new edition of 'Joves Espectadors' cycle, promoted by the Culture and Education Councillors.

Throughout the morning, the students, divided into two sessions, at 9.45 and 11.30,  attended the performance of the play 'El Fantasma mentiroso', by the company 'El Cau de l'Unicorn'. In this performance, a musical of puppets and actors in black light, the current fables that make it up are a song to tolerance where situations are complicated by misunderstandings caused by prejudices and then solved. With very refined texts and a great visual and musical impact, the rhythm of the play keeps the children very receptive and expectant throughout the performance.

The Councillor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez attended the first screening together with the Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno, and he stressed that “carrying out this initiative in the auditorium of the Cultural Centre allows us to reach more Primary school students”. He also indicated that the objective continues to be “to familiarise children with the performing arts through a play that also has an educational component”.

For her part, the Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno, explained that this cycle “is one of the proposals that the City Council offers to Benidorm's educational centres throughout the course to complement their curricular activities and which also serve as a meeting point for students from the different schools in our city”.

The company ‘El Cau de l’Unicorn’ was founded in 1994 and has performed in numerous prestigious festivals and fairs throughout its history, having received various awards and recognitions.
