Educación abre la matrícula para el Aula de Idiomas, con cursos de inglés, francés y español para extranjeros

The Education Department of the Benidorm City Council has opened the registration period to participate during the 2024-25 academic year in the 'AD'I', the municipal Language Classroom, a program that offers English, French and Spanish courses for foreign residents at different levels. The councillor for the area, Maite Moreno, explained that the registration period started this Monday, September 2, and will continue until next Monday, the 16th, with the aim of "facilitating language learning for anyone interested."

Moreno recalled that the Language Classroom "is open to people over 14 years of age who wish to acquire knowledge of other languages at a level that allows them to communicate in everyday situations and their jobs and that at the same time facilitates the study of the language at higher levels." Specifically, for this course the Language Classroom offers English at levels A1 (beginner) and A2 (elementary); French ‘Parlez Français’ (elementary); and Spanish for foreigners at levels A1, A2 and B1 in the modalities of oral skills, grammatical skills and DELE (preparation for the diploma of Spanish as a foreign language).

Likewise, the Councillor for Education has reported that the English courses at this level “will be taught through the Miguel Hernández University’s beEnglish Lab online platform” and also in person.

Registration can be completed until 16 September in the Education department, located on the 3rd floor of the Town Hall. However, if there are vacancies at any of the levels during the regular period, registration will be maintained for a few more days. To register, it is necessary to fill out the application form and provide your ID, NIE or passport, as well as the bank domiciliation document and those that prove the possibility of benefiting from any of the discounts provided.
The head of Education has indicated that “classes will begin on September 18 and 19, depending on the group, in the Multipurpose Building attached to the Leonor Canalejas public school, on Escuelas Street.” She also pointed out that the courses will be taught on alternate days (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) and two Fridays a month and will continue until May.

The general price of the Language Classroom is 38.84 euros, although there are discounts that can reach up to 100% of the price for large or single-parent families, retirees, users of the Carnet Jove, former students or people with some type of disability, as well as for households in which more than one member of the family unit is enrolled.
