The Culture Department is organizing the 3rd Screenwriting Workshop, which will focus on the creation of a fiction series

Benidorm City Council's Department of Culture, led by Councillor Jaime Jesús Pérez, has organised the third edition of the "Screenwriting Workshop for Film and Television" for next September. It will once again be taught by Professor Juan Carlos Gascón, and this time it will focus on the creation and development of a fiction series.
Under the title "From the Initial Idea to the Screen," this new edition "arose from the interest and positive reception received by participants in the two previous editions: the first, at a basic level, and the second, at an intermediate level, and from our desire to offer participants more tools to continue advancing in this discipline," the Culture Councilor explained.
Jaime Jesús Pérez explained that the workshop "is aimed at students of Audiovisual Communication, screenwriters, or professionals in the sector, but also at fans of film, television, and streaming platforms, and in general, at anyone interested in telling stories." Therefore, he invited "anyone interested in learning this writing technique" to participate.
The workshop will consist of 10 hours of training divided into five two-hour sessions, which will take place on September 8, 10, 12, 15, and 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the El Torrejó Municipal Centre.
The program will cover topics such as the writing process for a fiction series, pre-production, filming, post-production, and the promotion process for a fiction series. It will also include the viewing and analysis of short films or excerpts from series on various topics.
Those interested in participating can register now by sending an email with their information to tallerformacionaudiovisual@gmail.com. Places are limited.
