Last night the 'Cremà' of Hoguera of La Cala put an end to the celebrations of San Juan and the 41st anniversary of this festival that keeps the tradition of June 24 alive in Benidorm. Hundreds of residents and tourists gathered on the Poniente beach to witness how the fire ended the festivities until next year and several hundred also did not want to miss the 'mascletá' on Santander Street at 2:00 p.m.

In that first act were present the mayor Toni Pérez, the councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, as well as members of the corporation, the queen of the Festes Majors Patronals, Angélica Morenilla, and representatives of other festive entities who wanted to accompany the presidents of la Hoguera, Jesús Pérez and Adrián Urbiola, as well as the Belleas, Ana Orozco and Irene Caro.

At night, after 11 pm, the children's monument burned and an hour later the central bonfire did the same to the applause of the attendees. The mayor Toni Pérez travelled there, accompanied by the councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, and the councilors Ángela Zaragozí, Francisco Muñoz, and Luis Navarro who were together with the representatives of the bonfire, as well as the artist Sebastián Tolsa.

The fire departments, Local Police, Civil Protection, and Red Cross were in the area before the celebration started to ensure the event's safety, which did not record any incidents. Once the party was over, the attendees already began to think about the next year.
