The Corpus Christi procession runs through the old town of Benidorm for another year

Benidorm has once again experienced its Corpus Christi procession in which boys and girls who have taken their first communion have participated, in the different parishes of the city, in recent weeks.

After 8:00 p.m. this Sunday, the procession travelling along Calle Mayor and Alameda began from Plaza de Sant Jaume. After the little communicants, the 'Blessed Sacrament' carried under a canopy and 'The Angel', played by the girl Laia Zamora Picó, and behind him, the local authorities, headed by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Festival Councilor, Mariló Cebreros ; other members of the corporation and the regional deputies José Ramón González de Zárate and Manuel Pérez Fenoll. The band from the Unión Musical de Benidorm closed the procession.

The procession made three stops. The first before the altar located in La Palmera where ACR 'La Barqueta' had created a tapestry of flowers and murta. The attendees prayed while the censer scented the public street and the children threw rose petals at the 'Blessed Sacrament'.

The second stop was at the Paseo de la Carretera where the residents of the Old Town had made another small floral tapestry. Before starting the mass in Sant Jaume and Santa Anna, the last stop was at the doors of the church where the prayer was repeated before the eyes of hundreds of neighbors and visitors.
