The Local Police intensifies its presence in El Llandero to prevent the access of unauthorized vehicles and possible circulation in the opposite direction

The City Council will illuminate the access road to Camí del Llandero with photovoltaic lamps after authorization from the Ministry

Benidorm City Council will proceed in the coming weeks to illuminate the road that connects the CV-70 with the Invattur and that gives access to the Camí del Llandero, after the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has authorized this action. The Councilor for Mobility and Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained that "given the increase in traffic on this road, which is now part of the access itinerary to Benidorm that has been enabled for residents and emergency vehicles, we had asked to the Demarcation of Roads in Alicante that would allow us to install lighting and thus improve road safety”.

De Zárate has stated that “to illuminate this road, which currently lacks lighting, we are going to install 23 photovoltaic streetlights, which work with solar energy; a more sustainable solution, with a 100% renewable energy production, that works autonomously, with zero CO2 emissions and that avoids the installation of wiring”. The mayor has reported that "as soon as authorization was received from the Ministry, which is the owner of the vial, the lights have been ordered, which will be installed as soon as they are supplied to us."

"With the lighting of this section we gain in road and pedestrian safety and we complete the improvement actions that have been carried out in recent weeks around Camí del Llandero", he specified.

A Camí del Llandero where "the Local Police has intensified its presence to prevent the circulation of unauthorized vehicles." De Zárate has indicated that "despite all the signage that has been installed in the area, a week after starting this itinerary there are still unauthorized drivers who try to use this access reserved for residents and emergency vehicles."

In addition, "it has also been detected that a vehicle, ignoring the signs, is using the Camí del Llandero as an exit road from Italia Street and, therefore, circulating in the prohibited direction, with the risk it can cause for the rest of drivers and for the offending vehicle itself.
