Doors will open at 5 pm in Julio Iglesias auditorium with artists, DJs, and 'remember' music from the 90s and 2000s until 1 am.
Benidorm will once again pay tribute to ‘La Ruta’ on June 6th
Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera will host a new edition of ‘Tribute La Ruta’ on Saturday, June 6th. This event, which will kick off the summer music season in Benidorm, was presented this morning by the Councillor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, and the event's promoter, Víctor Pérez.
Carrobles explained that this festival has become a fixture in the city, drawing approximately 5,000 people to the auditorium, while still not a massive event. This audience enjoys the venue, the production, and the great music. Carrobles added that the festival will once again feature some of the artists who played in the most important clubs along ‘La Ruta’ and who will perform the most popular songs of the 90s and 2000s for all those nostalgic fans and lovers.
The event will begin at 5:00 PM, with the opening of the venue doors, and the performances are scheduled to end around 1:00 AM. The lineup includes artists GEM, Jerry Daley, Bandido with Piropo, and Scanners. DJs Víctor Pérez, Vicente Ferrer, Arturo Roger, Batiste, DJ K, Jesús Brisa, José Coll, Npeman, and Paco García will also perform.
Tickets are now available at www.homenajealaruta.com for €20, although prices will increase on the day of the event, according to Pérez. The councillor for the area invited “all lovers of electronic and retro music, and of what ‘La Ruta’ once represented, to attend this festival.”
Also present at the presentation was the promoter, Víctor Pérez, who expressed his gratitude for “the warm welcome and support Benidorm has given us from the beginning” for an event that “prioritises quality over quantity of attendees.” Pérez announced that those who purchase a ticket for the Benidorm festival "will also be able to enter the Valencia festival for free, and vice versa." The promoter also expressed his desire to be at the Skyfest venue next year, a possibility that couldn't be realised this year due to the dates being finalised.
