The adjudication will be made in order of entry of the requests in the registry and the period to request them will be from April 20 to 25, both inclusive
Benidorm will assign 80 passes in the l'Aigüera car park for the quarter from May to July
The Local Government Board of Benidorm City Council has approved today the bases of the allocation procedure of 80 season tickets for vehicles in the l'Aigüera municipal car park, valid for the quarter from May to July of this year.
The rules approved today establish the award criteria for all citizens who submit their applications. Thus, the season tickets will be assigned in order of entry into the register to those applicants who meet the requirements until the number of season tickets offered is reached. The deadline for submitting applications will be between April 20 and 25, 2023, both included.
The bases, which will be published on the bulletin board of the municipal website www.benidorm.org, indicate that all people who request a subscription by the requirements will be admitted under equal conditions. In this sense, to qualify for a 24-hour subscription from May 1 to July 31, you need to be the owner of a vehicle. Resident cardholders will also be able to opt for a credit bonus.
The submission of applications must be made within the period established in person at the general register of the City Council (from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or using the Electronic Register addressed to the Department of Urban Scene on the web https://sede.benidorm. org/web/guest/electronic-registration
Applicants must submit the subscription request at the public underground car park l'Aigüera and must indicate whether they meet the conditions for the discount per resident.
The City Council will be in charge of verifying compliance with the requirements and will establish the order of priority. Afterward, it will send to the company that performs the maintenance and collaborates with the management the definitive list of requests for the issuance of the subscriptions.
Said requests must include the identification data of the petitioner (name, surname, ID, telephone, email, and address), and the model and license plate of the vehicle. The bases clarify that a subscription may only be requested for one license plate per registration and that only the vehicle indicated in the application may be parked exclusively. The estimate of the request will be communicated by telephone or SMS to the telephone number presented.
The stipulated price for this 24-hour quarterly pass will be 254.35 euros while the subsidized price for Resident cardholders will be 160.47 euros. The term to make the payment will be five calendar days from the communication of the estimate of the request.
It is also clarified that contracting a season ticket does not imply the reservation of space, so the season ticket holder may park their vehicle in any available space.
Nor does it grant priority entry to the car park if other vehicles are waiting beforehand.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, indicated that "we continue advancing in the mobility policy and in the effort to facilitate nearby parking" and has stressed in this regard that it is "subscriptions with economic facilities for cardholders Resident".
In the opinion of the mayor, the work of the City Council "is not only to recover the street for pedestrians but also to provide solutions, such as those 8,000 spaces in 40 park-and-rides created in this administration, to which we now add the management of parking and these seasonal passes”.
Pérez specified that the issuance and implementation of these passes "are born from active listening with the residents, to whom we give more facilities to access and park their vehicle."
The mayor considered that the rates of these first subscriptions "are very interesting, especially for residents in the center of the city" and highlighted the improvements and innovations that have been implemented in this new phase of the parking management " such as the installation of more surveillance cameras, the traffic guidance system and the location of free spaces, spaces with charging for electric vehicles, for vehicles with trailers or larger spaces for family vehicles with pushchairs, among others”.
"What we want in this provisional phase is to know the way to offer the best service to our neighbors and visitors and we are convinced that this new stage will be a very important benefit for them." He added, "The first results since the management has been carried out by the municipal government have registered an increase in the average occupancy of the car park."
