Benidorm welcomes ‘Kaleidos Trio’ this Friday for a new concert in the Great Recitals series
The Great Recitals series, organised by Benidorm City Council's Department of Culture, continues tomorrow, Friday, with Kaleidos Trio. The performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the Municipal Auditorium, with free admission until the venue reaches capacity.
Kaleidos Trio is comprised of Vicente Cascales Mogica (trombone), Alfonso Ramón Cantó (trumpet), and Ángel López Martínez (piano). According to its members, the trio was born out of "a curiosity and discovery of a chamber music repertoire as unusual as it is brilliant for these three instruments."
The program they will perform tomorrow, entitled "Kaleidos Origins," includes, first, "On the Waterfront Overture" by L. Bernstein, followed by "Concertino" by J. Castéréde, and then "Nabucco Overture" by G. Verdi. After an intermission, the trio will perform "Tintomara" by Folke Rabe, for trumpet and trombone only. Afterwards, Ángel López Martínez will play ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by S. Prokofiev on the piano, and the event will conclude with ‘Double Brass Concerto’ by Salvador Brotons.
