The Governing Board approves the bases of the call, which will have 78,500 euros for 2024
Benidorm once again calls for aid to promote new entrepreneurial projects
The Department of Employment and Local Development of the Benidorm City Council has once again called for aid for new self-employed workers and companies during the year 2024 and for this purpose, the Local Government Board has approved an expenditure of 78,500 euros to meet the call, as well as the regulatory bases of the same.
According to the bases, the aid can be requested from the day after publication in the BOP until December 31 of this year and can be done on the website of Benidorm City Council (https://sede.benidorm.org) together with the required documentation. Mónica Gómez, Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, has specified that the aid ranges between 700 and 1,000 euros and "constitutes support for people who are starting a self-employed professional activity in Benidorm." Gómez stressed that “one of the main objectives of this aid is economic promotion and job creation in Benidorm”.
To be eligible for this line of aid, interested parties must register or have registered as self-employed, with tax domicile in Benidorm, between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024, and have started their economic activity between those dates. They must also be registered in the census of taxpayers and the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers before applying, but they must not have been registered in the three months before the start of the activity.
They may not have been beneficiaries of this aid in either of the two previous years and must be registered in Benidorm or request an opening license in premises located in the city. They must also be up to date in the fulfilment of their tax obligations and with the TGSS and have no outstanding debts with Benidorm City Council.
The grants vary between 700 and 1,000 euros. The former will be intended for entrepreneurs who establish themselves as self-employed workers with a tax domicile in Benidorm and are registered in the city. Entrepreneurs who are not registered in Benidorm but establish themselves as self-employed workers, with a tax domicile in the city and who process an opening license at Benidorm City Hall will also be able to access these 700 euro grants.
As regards the 1,000 euro grants, will be intended for professionals who register as freelancer workers with a tax domicile in Benidorm, who are registered in the city and who process an opening license at Benidorm City Hall, as stated in the rules. The councillor has highlighted the “sensitivity of this government with the local productive fabric and entrepreneurship”.
A technical committee will be responsible for evaluating the applications and proposing the approval or denial of aid, as well as the allocation of the subsidized amounts.
