Benidorm hosts the II Meeting of Music Bands on Saturday
This coming Saturday, April 20, Benidorm will host the second Meeting of Music Bands with the participation of eleven music bands from the Valencian Community, Madrid, Castilla La Mancha and the three local bands from Benidorm.
The Meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the participating bands on Bilbao Street. From there they will depart at 11 in the morning to go along Avenida del Mediterráneo, Plaza de la Hispanidad, Doctor Fleming and Plaza de SS MM Los Reyes de España. Attendance at the Meeting is free.
In addition to the local bands (Societat Musical La Nova, Societat Musical L'Illa and Unión Musical), six bands from the Valencian Community have confirmed their attendance at the event (Sociedad Musical La Lira de Titaguas, Sociedad Musico-Cultural La Yesa-Alpuente, Unión Musical El Arte de Simancas, Sociedad Musical Unión de Pescadores de Valencia, Societat Juventud Musical de Quart de Les Valls and the Agrupació Musical de Rocafort), one from the Community of Madrid (Unión Musical de San Martín de Valdeiglesias) and another from Castilla La Mancha Music Band Association La Flor de La Mancha).
In total more than 400 musicians will take part in the parade. 346 confirmed from the bands outside Benidorm and the rest from the three local bands.
Once all the bands arrive at Plaza de SS MM Los Reyes de España, the piece of music 'Fiesta en Benidorm' will be performed and directed by its composer Rafael Domenech Pardo. At the end of the event, an honorary wine will be offered at the Óscar Esplá amphitheatre for the members of the music bands.
