Benidorm cancels classes for this Tuesday due to the storm and flood emergency declared by 112 CV

Benidorm City Council has decreed the suspension of classes for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9, in response to the Level 1 flood emergency and the Orange Pre-Emergency due to heavy rains declared by the Valencian Community 112 (CECOPAL), a regional government service.
Benidorm City Council's Municipal Operational Coordination Centre (CECOPAL) met at 8:30 p.m. to assess the situation following the declaration of this alert. During this meeting, chaired by Mayor Toni Pérez, classes were suspended at all educational levels in preschools, pre-primary and primary schools, and secondary schools.
Likewise, existing flood zone signs in ravines, gullies, and surrounding areas have been reinforced with fencing for Tuesday or, failing that, for the duration of this emergency due to heavy rains. In response to this signage, the public is asked to heed the recommendation not to enter or circulate in these areas.
For the duration of this emergency, the public is asked to avoid unnecessary travel, to exercise extreme caution in outdoor activities and spaces, and to remain alert for possible updates and official communications through the Benidorm City Council and Local Police channels.
