The JGL approves a new remittance that brings to about 700 students in the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education beneficiaries

The vouchers for the acquisition of school material can be collected from August 7

The school vouchers for the acquisition of school material can be collected from Monday, August 7, according to the department councilor, Maite Moreno, after the Local Government Board (JGL) approved today the Second remittance of these subsidies for students in the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education in public and subsidized schools in Benidorm.

Moreno pointed out that "with this new batch, there are already 688 minors in the city who have been granted this aid of 63 euros, which aims to reduce the outlay on material that families have to do in this educational cycle." To these already recognized beneficiaries "more will be added, as the requests received during July, August, and September are resolved."

This second consignment, of 1,260 euros, includes applications submitted up to June 30. The first was made ex officio by the City Council itself and included all the minors born in the years 2018 and 2019 who already enjoyed this subsidy in the 2022/2023 academic year. The first remittance reached 668 minors and amounted to 42,084 euros.

The families of the minors included in the first two consignments will be able to collect the purchase vouchers starting next week at the delivery point they have been assigned and which varies depending on the school in which the students are enrolled. Thus, in the Department of Education, located on the third floor of the Town Hall, the vouchers will be collected from the students of the CEIP Gabriel Miró, Mestre Gaspar López, and Leonor Canalejas, and the concerted center Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. The delivery of the CEIPS Puig Campana and Els Tolls is centralized in the administrative extension of Els Tolls; while the students of the Bautista Lledó, Aitana, and Vasco Núñez de Balboa schools have been assigned the administrative extension of Foietes.

The administrative extension of La Cala is the collection point for the families of the CEIP La Cala and El Murtal; that of the Racó de l'Oix, for the Serra Gelada school; and in the new Alfredo Corral-Maravall extension, for students from the Ausiàs March and Miguel Hernández centers.

The voucher will only be delivered to the requesting person. If the applicant cannot attend, an authorization signed by the latter must be provided, accompanied by a photocopy of the DNI of both. Likewise, duplicates will not be issued due to loss, theft, or deterioration.

These shopping vouchers can be redeemed until November 10 in Benidorm shops that have joined the initiative.
