The University Classrooms of Experience begin the course in Benidorm with all their places occupied

16 October 2024
Las Aulas Universitarias de la Experiencia inician el curso en Benidorm con todas sus plazas ocupadas

The University Classrooms of Experience (AUNEX) program started in Benidorm this school year with great success in participation since all available places have been occupied, as reported by the Department of Social Welfare of Benidorm City Council. This program promoted by the Department, has the collaboration of Miguel Hernández University of Elche.

For this 2024-25 course, 20 places were available for those in the second year, while for the new first-year students, the number of places was 30. "The truth is that people have taken it up again with great interest" indicated councillor Ángela Zaragozí, who yesterday welcomed the participants and specified that "in just four days all the available places were filled."

The teaching program for this course will consist of “seven subjects of 15 hours each” and “will be completed with a series of seminars to expand the content that will end in principle in May 2025.”

AUNEX is an “educational program” aimed at people over 55 years of age that has been operating in Benidorm for “more than two decades” and for whose registration “previous studies are not required, only an interest in learning” said Zaragozí.

The 2024-25 course began yesterday and as on previous occasions, classes will take place at José Llorca Linares Social Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At the end of the course, those enrolled will receive a certificate of completion issued by Miguel Hernández University.
