Treasury department recalls that the term for collection of municipal taxes managed by Suma has been extended
The Councilor for the Treasury, Aída García Mayor, recalled that "like last year and in response to the special circumstances generated by the pandemic, the period for voluntary payment of municipal taxes and duties managed by Suma has been extended." Thus, the voluntary payment - collection without surcharge - of the garbage fee and the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles (ITVM) can be made until June 14, while the direct debit receipts of both will be charged on June 7 .
García Mayor has indicated that “last year, as soon as the state of alarm was declared, Suma responded to the request of the City Councils to suspend the collection of both taxes at that time, postponing it until June. In 2021, the body itself, dependent on the Provincial Council, has decided to extend the deadlines for the collection of municipal taxes ”.
This decision, she has pointed out, “affects the 139 municipalities of the province of Alicante that have a delegate in Sum the collection of their tributes and taxes; some municipalities in which the payment periods will be the same as in Benidorm: until June 14 the garbage rate and IMVT and from August 2 to November 5 the IAE, the IBI and the ford rate ”.
The councilor has indicated that “apart from this extension of terms, from the local government we will continue to launch and manage direct aid to support the productive fabric and families of Benidorm, with realistic, clearly defined and responsible measures; the toasts to the sun and the proposals without specifying we leave them to others ”.
