The aid, which can be requested until November 5, amounts to 2,000 fixed euros per self-employed or micro-business with up to 10 employees and another 200 more for each worker

Today starts the deadline to request ‘Parenthesis grants’ of the third call within Plan Resistir

27 October 2021
Hoy arranca el plazo para solicitar las ayudas ‘Paréntesis’ de la tercera convocatoria del Plan Resistir

At 9.30 this morning the deadline to request Paréntesis grants included in Resistir Plan was opened, once the third call for them was published yesterday in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
The Local Government Board (JGL) of Benidorm approved last Friday to start a new call, the third, to access the Parenthesis aid of the Resist Plan, aid financed by the Generalitat Valenciana, the Provincial Council of Alicante and the town councils, which are Aimed at the self-employed, mutuals, communities of assets and SMEs with up to ten workers.
This third call is due to the fact that "there was still 1,030,669.77 euros pending to be executed, after having finished the first two calls," explained the Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez. This call will include "sectors that carry out different activities in Benidorm that were not contemplated in the previous ones and that were also affected by the pandemic."
Paréntesis grants were endowed with 160 million euros. Of these, the budget for the municipality of Benidorm amounted to 5,245,416 euros. In the first call, the City Council received 922 applications, of which 850 were approved in seven remittances, for a global amount of 2,032,475.87 euros. In the second call, once the deadline had expired, 1,036 applications were received, of which 996 were approved, which were attended in six remittances, for a total amount of 2,182,270.36 euros.
Between the two calls, the City Council has processed 1,958 files, of which 1,846 have been approved and 4,214,746.23 euros have been granted, thus leaving 1,030,669.77 euros pending until the total amount is completed.
This third call also includes "those self-employed and SMEs that, not being contemplated in the previous ones, justify a reduction in income in 2020 of at least 30% compared to 2019", the mayor specified.
The aim pursued, according to Gómez, is “to contribute to the maintenance of current or habitual expenses that the beneficiaries have continued to bear despite the decrease or lack of income, thus helping their economic viability and promoting self-employment or employment. ”.
As in previous calls, the aid will consist of a fixed amount of 2,000 euros for each self-employed worker or micro-business with up to 10 workers and an additional 200 for each worker affiliated with Social Security as of December 31, 2020.
The bases also establish that the economic activity must have started on or before December 31, 2020 and must be registered at the time of submitting the application. They may not have been beneficiaries of the Paréntesis aid in any of the two previous calls, neither in Benidorm nor of other Paréntesis aid in another municipality.
The deadline for submitting applications will be extended for ten calendar days from today, which will end on Friday, November 5. Individuals or legal entities interested in requesting this aid must submit the request online at the link https://sede.benidorm.org
