For the second consecutive day, the Assembly Hall of the City Council was too small due to public demand

With "The Tempest" by Shakespeare, the Cultural Week gives way to the FMP

11 November 2022
Con «La Tempestad» de Shaekespeare, la Semana Cultural da paso a les FMP

With the staging last night, at 8:00 p.m. of 'The Tempest', by William Shakespeare, in the Assembly Hall of the City Council, the Cultural Week prior to the Festes Majors Patronals 2022, of the departments of Culture and Festivals, which run Jaime Jesús Pérez and Jesús Carrobles, said goodbye and see you next year to the Benidorm public.

Precisely, Jaime Jesús Pérez attended the representation along with other members of the corporation; also the Queen Major, Aila Merenciano; the vice-president of the Commission of the Festes Majors Patronals, Juan Pedro López; and the president of the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge', Adrian Romero.

With staging by the Alpí Teatre company, made up of actors and actresses from the Marina Baixa, under the direction of Ricardo Molina, the public was able to enjoy this updated version of the Shakespearean comedy that begins with the sending of the 'Armada Invincible' by Felipe II to the English coasts.

The public enjoyed the Alicante company's version until the last minute, although, as happened the day before, at the concert by Rondalla de Callosa and the Tramontana group, access to the Assembly Hall had to be cut off when the capacity limit allowed.
