In April, Benidorm will host the European Darts Championship

The competition began on Thursday with the Individual Cricket Championship; on Friday, the Team and Pairs Cricket tournament; on Saturday the National Team and Couple tournament – DYP (Blind) Cricket; Finally, today, Sunday, the International Grand Final and National Team Final were held, in which, according to organization sources, 500 teams and 2,500 members participated, out of a global count that has exceeded 4,500 registered.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, handed out the trophies to the winning teams of the day early this afternoon in a ceremony in which he was accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá, and other members of the government team. ; the regional deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate and the representatives of the organization, Rafael García and Robert Nisbert.

In the national team classification, the winners in the women's category were 'Las del Carpe', from Orihuela, while in the men's category in the Men's Final A were 'Tower Rangers', from Tarragona; in B, 'Massaburros', from Valencia; and in C, the Vaqueritos', also from Tarragona.

Regarding the international tournament, in Final A, 'Los Mercenarios', from Ciudad Real, were the winners; in B, 'Colottianos', from the Valencian town of Ontinyent; and in C, 'Sabus Team', from Murcia.

The Sports Councilor has highlighted the importance of events such as the National and International Electronic Darts Championship in the “promotion of sports tourism” on these dates. Javier Jordá recalled that between Benidorm Half on Saturday and this tournament, “around 10,000 athletes plus their companions” have gathered in Benidorm in the low season, which allows the city to “continue offering its best services to those who decide to spend these intense active weekends between us.”

On the other hand, the Bullshooter Dart Federation has announced that Benidorm will host another international event in April next year, the European Darts Championship.
