San Vicente del Raspeig is interested in Benidorm Low Emissions Zone model

13 February 2024
El municipio de San Vicente del Raspeig se interesa por el modelo de Zona de Bajas Emisiones de Benidorm

The Alicante town of San Vicente del Raspeig has today shown its interest in learning about the Benidorm model for the implementation of the Low Emissions Zone and this reason, the mayor José Rafael Pascual Llopis has visited the city together with the Councilor for the Environment, María Mercedes Torregrosa and her municipal Mobility and Environment technicians.

The first councillor from San Vicente was received in the Mayor's office by his counterpart Toni Pérez in a meeting in which Benidorm Mobility Councilor, Francis Muñoz, was also present. There they have been able to learn some details of the line of work carried out by Benidorm in the implementation of the Low Emissions Zone and, subsequently, they have travelled to some points of the city such as Avenida del Mediterráneo, Plaza de la Hispanidad, Armada Española or Tomás Ortuño street, where municipal technicians have explained the actions carried out.

Francis Muñoz has specified about the visit that the delegation from San Vicente has shown itself to be “very interested in everything they have seen and in the model of the city that we have” and they have left with the aim of “trying to apply similar actions in their town” to have a successful ZBE model.”
