Benidorm Local Police Station hosted the presentation of the city's new Civil Protection headquarters this Saturday, headed by José Vicente Fuster García. The Councillor for Public Service, Jesús Carrobles, and the Chief Superintendent of the Local Police, Luis Martín Arévalo, accompanied the new local chief at this presentation, which was also attended by Civil Protection volunteers and representatives from the Local Police and Fire Department, among others.
This meeting outlined the new lines of work and challenges for this group, to make Civil Protection a "more participatory, more dynamic, and more open to the public" force, as the councillor stated.
Carrobles announced that the City Council is working to provide Civil Protection with new premises for its activities and meetings. Among the first actions planned by the new leadership are "courses will be offered in high schools and collaborations will be established with other regional groups to exchange knowledge and create synergies to provide a better service."
