The Department of Education has enabled free buses to move students to La Nucia, where exams are developed

More than 200 students from Benidorm do the university access tests tomorrow

03 June 2019
Más de 200 estudiantes de Benidorm realizan desde mañana las pruebas de Selectividad

A total of 202 students from Benidorm face from tomorrow, June 4, until Thursday the 6th, to the university access tests, which one more year will be held at the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) of La Nucia. According to the data provided by the Department of Education, which runs the acting mayor, Toni Pérez, "162 students who will be measured in the tests study in one of the five IES of Benidorm, while the remaining 40 do in a private school center. "

As in previous years, the Department of Education has enabled free buses to travel to La Nucía to Benidorm students. The mayor explained that "students who have previously registered for this service at their school may make use of these buses".

In total, two routes have been arranged - Levante and Poniente - with six and seven stops respectively. Depending on the route, buses will leave from the first stop between 07.35 and 07.45, and arrive at La Nucía at 0820 hours, 40 minutes before the first tests begin. To return to Benidorm, departures have been planned from the IES of La Nucía at 5:45 and 7:30 p.m.

The mayor has indicated that from "the City Hall we will maintain" this free transport service "until the Ministry of Education reconsider and these tests are made in Benidorm, as previously, among other things because the city is the municipality that more students contribute from the whole region ".

Sessió Continua

On the other hand, Pérez has indicated that "since last May 27 and until June 17" the first period of the program 'Sessió Continua' runs in the social center José Llorca Linares, which has extended its opening hours "to offer young people a space in which to study during the exam period ". From Monday to Friday, the facilities will remain open from 10:15 pm to 2:00 am, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm uninterrupted. The mayor has announced that the second period of 'Sessió Continua' will run from June 25 to July 12, coinciding fundamentally with these exams and university exams.
