More than 1,600 people participate in the XXII Benidorm School Festival

03 June 2024
Una de las actuaciones del Festival Escolar.

The twenty-second edition of the School Festival organized every year by the Federation of AMPA of the Marina Baixa and the associations of parents of students in Benidorm, was held yesterday at 6:00 p.m. at the Benidorm Palace to raise funds for Incluyenos (Association of Parents of Autistic People and People with Specific Language Disorders).
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, and other members of the corporation attended the event, which included the performance of a dozen teaching centres, the Municipal Conservatory of Dance, the Municipal School of Rhythmic Gymnastics and the Benidorm Association for the Disabled and region, ASMIBE.

Before the performances, Toni Pérez took the floor to thank the large audience, which reached 1,600 people and the hundreds or so artists present. The mayor expressed his confidence that “a good amount of money will be raised” to cover the actions of Incluyenos “that benefit us all.”

Likewise, the first mayor had words of remembrance for Toni Saval, who died in an accident the day before on “a sad day.” "Musician," he said, "loved by the entire educational community and a great teacher." Toni Pérez claimed “the equality of all the people who share our lives, in which there are things that we do not always like but that when shared we can cope better.”

After the mayor, the president of Inclúyenos, Vicente Pérez Sivera and the president of the AMPA of Benidorm, Viviana Ankonetani, took the floor. After them the show began, in which ASMIBE, CEIP Serra Gelada, CC Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, CEIP Ausiàs March, CEIPO Puig Campana, Municipal Conservatory of Dance, CEIP Vasco Núñez de Balboa, CEIP Leonor Canalejas, IES Bernat de Sarrià and Municipal School of Rhythmic Gymnastics.

After the performances, the artists were presented with a commemorative plaque.
