Mobility transfers the bonuses in the l'Aigüera car park to the hotel and retail industry so that they can promote them among their customers

The associations of the hospitality and commerce sector (Abreca, Cobreca, Ociobal, and Aico) held a meeting yesterday with the Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate, who informed them of the latest measures adopted by his department on the occasion of the new public management of the l'Aigüera car park and the bonuses that customers of their establishments can access so that they promote them among themselves.

Thus, González de Zárate informed them that with the new management, the bonus of one hour of free parking is maintained when presenting a purchased ticket in shops, bars, restaurants, etc. from the center of Benidorm for an amount equal to or greater than 20 euros, which represents a change concerning the above, since the minimum expense was set at 60 euros.

To benefit from this bonus, the mayor explained that customers must pay their expenses in the establishments in the downtown area, which includes the area delimited by the avenues of Jaime I, Alfonso Puchades, the Valencian Community, and Europe, including these roads.

González de Zárate told them that the commercial and restaurant establishments in the downtown area "will receive free one-hour parking tickets to deliver to customers who have spent 20 euros or more and 100 vouchers will be delivered per establishment, with a six-month expiration. Until the new equipment is installed and the tickets are distributed, "the bonus will be made by presenting the ticket or invoice at the parking offices".

It was also recalled that the l'Aigüera public car park has set up 40 free parking spaces for motorcycles, located next to the up and down ramps, a figure that will increase to 80 in the coming weeks. "These are places that are very useful for the workers of the downtown establishments, who now have more places to leave their motorcycles when they go to work," González de Zárate specified.

On the other hand, yesterday's meeting also addressed the significant growth in parking spaces in the city, which already exceeds 7,000. In this sense, the Councilor for Mobility described as "fundamental" this measure to create new parking lots of this type "and the commissioning of free buses in those furthest away from the center" that allow users of the dissuasive places next to the Station de Autobuses and on Cuba street "take a bus every 15 minutes, seven days a week, which takes you to the center, Rincón or La Cala for free".

González de Zárate and the representatives of the associations agreed that it is a "very powerful and positive" service. In addition, the promotional campaigns for park-and-ride parking that are being carried out through the city's digital screens "that allow citizens and visitors to find out where these free car parks are located and choose the ones that suit them" were valued. better". Finally, the Councilor for Mobility once again highlighted "this government's commitment to sustainable mobility and the promotion of public transport."
