Toni Pérez has participated in the traditional Christmas act of Hosbec
The mayor encourages the tourism and economic sector to believe and participate in Visit Benidorm Foundation
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has encouraged all the agents of the tourist and economic sector of the city to "feel protagonists" of Visit Benidorm and to "support, collaborate and contribute to make it bigger", since the Foundation "is a model "of recognized public-private collaboration, shown " as an example in many latitudes ", and in which" many fix their eyes to follow the trail ".
Pérez has made these statements at the traditional Christmas event of the hotel management Hosbec held at the Valencia Institute of Tourism Technologies (Invattur), in which the mayor has accompanied the president and the secretary general of the entity, Toni Mayor and Nuria Montes, as well as the rest of associates; and in which the regional Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has also participated.
The mayor stressed that, "with everything done and achieved" with and since the start-up of the Foundation "we let our guard down", the competitors "will reach us and surpass us". "I am demanding enthusiasm, trust and generosity from all those actors who in Benidorm have the same hope as we do that tourism continues to function and remains our first industry."
During his speech, Pérez thanked Hosbec for his involvement in Visit Benidorm and "everything you are doing organisationally" as an entity "at the service of the territory", because that work "positions us and allows us to be better".
Likewise, he has recognized "the permanent innovation" that the sector makes in its establishments, and that is evidenced in the 45 urban licenses requested this year to the local administration to carry out improvement actions in hotel facilities. Of these, the mayor has highlighted, nine have been for comprehensive reforms, facades and interiors, and even for new construction. Some figures that reflect "the power of Hosbec for the economy of Benidorm and for the entire sector in the Valencian Community".
The mayor said that the initiative of the sector to take care of their facilities must be accompanied by the "effort" of the local administration to adapt the public space because in the case of Benidorm "the city is the destination".
Finally, the mayor congratulated the eleven establishments that have been recognized today with the Hosbec Excellence badges in Water Hygiene and food hygiene, and thanked them for their "commitment to quality".
