Iberia Festival brings together legends of Spanish rock once again in Benidorm with two events in 2026
Iberia Festival will once again bring together some of the biggest names in Spanish rock this year in Benidorm. The event expands its lineup this year and confirms that Benidorm will host two festivals in 2026. In addition to the previously announced date of May 23rd, the organisers have added a second date on September 26th, with new bands to be added to the bill, as announced by the promoters and the Councillor for Events, Jesús Carrobles. Both concerts will take place at the Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera.
As previously announced, the first day, May 23rd, will feature some of the most iconic names in Spanish rock and punk, including Evaristo, the legendary vocalist of La Polla Records; El Drogas, the iconic singer and bassist of Barricada; the Seville-based band Reincidentes; and the rock group Sekía, whose members hail from the Marina Baixa region. In addition, one of the most irreverent and combative bands on the national scene, Def Con Dos, will be joining the lineup, celebrating the 30th anniversary of *Alzheimer*, the album that propelled their explosive mix of rap, metal, and punk attitude to the top.
The festival's second day, scheduled for September 26, has also announced its first acts. Among them are Granada's own 091, considered one of the most influential bands in Spanish rock, who return to Iberia in 2026 with a new album. They will share the stage with the legendary band La Frontera and Ringo Rango, known for their explosive blend of rock 'n' roll, surf, and rhythm & blues.
The organisers have stated that "there are still more bands to be announced," so the final lineup for Iberia Festival 2026 will continue to grow in the coming months. They have also confirmed that tickets for general admission are on sale through the festival's official website.
Councilman Jesús Carrobles emphasised that “musically speaking, 2026 is going to be a year with a wide range of offerings and a great variety of concerts for a very diverse audience.” He thanked the promoters for “continuing to support the Iberia Festival in Benidorm, the city where it was born, where it has become established, and from which we hope it will continue to grow.”
