Half a thousand Primary students participate tomorrow in El Moralet in the School Cross Country Championship

Around half a thousand Primary students from all the educational centres in Benidorm will participate tomorrow, Saturday, March 23, in the XXVIII School Cross Country Championship, which is part of the Sports Games held throughout the course in the city.

For the third consecutive year, the event will take place in Moralet Park, “a large green area that is becoming increasingly consolidated as a sports space, complementary to the facilities that Benidorm has and ideal for events such as this School Championship. Campo a Tráves”, as indicated by the Councilor for Sports, Javier Jordá.

The test will begin with the male and female races from 6th grade of Primary and will be completed around noon with the competition of the smallest students, 1st grade. In addition to medals for the top six finishers in each event, there will also be team trophies for the top three participating centres in each category.

Jordá has pointed out that “this School Cross Country Championship is one of the longest-running initiatives organized throughout the year by the Department of Sports, which is articulated through the municipal sports technicians and which has the collaboration of the Benidorm Athletics Club”.
