Glamour takes center stage at Benidorm Fest welcome party
The fifth edition of Benidorm Fest made its grand entrance last night with a launch party held in the auditorium of the Cultural Center, preceded by a parade of all the participating artists, presenters, and celebrities on the photocall outside the venue. The hundreds of fans gathered there delighted the hundreds of attendees.
From 6:30 p.m. onwards, everyone involved with this year's Benidorm Fest began posing for photos on the photocall. Singers, their companions, organizers, directors, presenters, and many other familiar faces posed for all the requested photos and interviews.
After 8:00 p.m., the official presentation of the event began inside the Cultural Center. The auditorium was packed, and the attendees, eager for what was to come, didn't want to miss a single detail of the gala. Among those present were the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Director General of Tourism for the Valencian Government, Israel Martínez. and members of the local council. María Eizaguirre and DJ Tony Aguilar presented the gala, whose first performance was by the duo Nebulossa, winners of the 2024 edition with the song ‘Zorra’ (Bitch), who got the entire audience dancing with the two songs they played.
Afterwards, the two presenters introduced the artists one by one in the order they would perform: Kitai, María León and Julia Medina, Luna Ki, Greg Taro, Izan Llunas, Dora and Marlon Collins, Tony Grox and Lucycalys, Mikel Herzog Jr., and Kenneth as Tuesday's semifinalists, and then Asha, Ku Minerva, Funambulista, Dani J, The Quinquis, Atyat, Rosalinda Galán, Mayo and Miranda!, and Bailamamá, who will perform in Thursday's semifinal. Also joining them on stage during this presentation were the presenters for this edition: Javier Ambrosi, Jesús Vázquez, and Inés Hernand. After all the participants had arrived, Benidorm Fest director César Vallejo took to the stage and emphasised that this edition “will be unique, with high-quality songs and production.”
The welcome party inside concluded with a performance by Natalia, who played a medley of her most popular songs with all the artists who joined her on stage to dance. The party continued in the lobby of the Cultural Centre with music by Tony Aguilar, who DJed until 11 p.m. This afternoon, the festivities continue with Benidorm Fest Junior, also at the Cultural Centre.
