To this problematic of the tourist housings has also been referred the head of the Area of Tourist Services of the City council of Lloret de Mar, Jordi Sais, who has bet by regulating "the maximum number of these houses" by municipality as already it has been done in this locality, and for "protecting the resident" of possible incivilities that provoke a rejection of tourism.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has demanded a state pact so that "the political changes" do not affect or paralyze the policies and strategies for the promotion of the destinations; while the Councilor for Tourism of Arona, David M. Pérez, has pointed out that the infrastructure policies of the supra-municipal administrations can not be designed "without taking into account the first industry in the country", and has opted for "sustainability and technology "to attract" the generation 'millennial' ".

The mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and president of the AMT, Marco Aurelio Pérez, has led the debate towards the need to draw up "a model to resolve the issue of financing tourist municipalities", taking into account their particularities and the fact that they have to serve a population well above the census.

In addition, all the mayors have agreed to continue claiming together the attention of supramunicipal administrations in order to achieve greater and better financing that will allow these eight destinations to maintain quality standards in the provision of services for residents and tourists.
