Equality organizes events for a whole week on the occasion of the 'International Women's Day'

The department of Equality of Benidorm City Council has organized a program of events to mark the 'International Women's Day' to be held on March 8. The activities will take place over a whole week, from Friday 2 to Friday 9 March.

The acts begin on Friday, March 2, at 6:00 pm, with the conference given by Vicenta Rodríguez under the title 'Frida Kahlo', organized by the association 'Patch Benidorm' and will take place at Casa del Fester.

On Tuesday, March 6, two activities are scheduled. At 6:00 pm there will be a poetic recital and lecture about 'María Lejárraga', given by María Isabel López and Lupe Rodríguez Guardia. This event is organized by Faro de Alejandría Association and is celebrated in Casa del Fester. At 8:00 pm, the Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council will host the performance of the play 'En la piel del otro' by Vicente Simal in charge of Catarsis Company.

On Wednesday the 7th in the Auditorium of Benidorm City Hall will host at 18.00 'Actuación Coral' then, at 18.30 to the conference 'A dignifying vision of women in Valencia in the fifteenth century by Dr. Rafael Alemany Ferrer, Professor of Medieval Literature at the University of Alicante, and is organized by the Association of Housewives of Benidorm.

Both on Wednesday 7 and Friday 9 March, from 10 am to 1 pm at Jelena Social Center, the course 'Emotional intelligence and health' organized by Anémona will be held, for which it will be necessary to register in advance and taught by Felisa Herce and Rosario Ortuño.

On Thursday, March 8, International Women's Day, we will proceed at 11.30 am to the placement of the commemorative banner on the balcony of City Hall in charge of the councilors of the consistory. At 12.00 the Espai d'Art of the City Council welcomes the opening of the painting exhibition 'Tú y lo otro' by Beatriz Aramburu, organized by the department of Culture. At 8:00 pm the auditorium of the Benidorm City Council will host the interpretation of the play 'En la otra habitación' by Paloma Pedrero, by Compañía Mascarat Teatro and organized by the department of Culture and Equality.

The events will close on Friday, March 9 with the XVIII Meeting of Women of Marina Baixa, which this year will be held in the town of Finestrat.
