Employment programs a microcredit workshop for the creation of new companies in Benidorm

With the endorsement of the AEDL the entrepreneurs will be able to access grants up to 25,000 euros to be returned in 6 years

The department of Employment, through the Agency for Employment and Local Development (AEDL) organizes next Thursday, the 10th, the workshop 'Microcredits for Entrepreneurs', conducted in collaboration with Microbank and aimed at people or groups that have an idea of developing a business. The workshop will take place at the Training Center for Employment 'Pepita Puchades' from 09.00 to 13.00 hours. The mayor of Employment, María Jesús Pinto, has presented this morning the workshop accompanied by the Director of Microbank, Emilio Juan de Merlo and the representative of the Obra Social 'La Caixa' and trainer, Pablo Sandoval. The councilwoman focused on essential aspects in the creation of any business project, such as financing that "is often the first obstacle and the most difficult to solve." Therefore, proposals such as microcredits "are an important impetus for the development of any initiative capable of generating industrial fabric" in the city. In this regard, Emilio Juan de Merlo announced that in 2015, "21,000 people found employment thanks to the line of microcredits" of its entity in Spain. Proposals that are financed with "up to 25,000 euros to be returned in 6 years" without the need for guarantors, as long as they have the company plan and the feasibility report accredited by the AEDL. For his part, Pablo Sandoval stressed that "three out of four projects" made in collaboration with Microbank "have gone ahead" and it is "a shame" that many people do not encourage to launch their own business idea "because they do not know these grants", Hence the importance of conducting such workshops. Microbank and the AEDL have been collaborating for five years thanks to an agreement that will prolong the promotion of joint entrepreneurship until 2019 "which we hope to expand," De Merlo said. During this time, about 50 people have accessed microcredits, a figure that remains, at the moment "short" and which it is expected to expand after the product is announced with initiatives such as this workshop 'Microcredits for Entrepreneurs'.
